Life Group Baby Shower

My wonderful and amazing Life Group from church threw me my very first baby shower on Saturday, November 12th at 11am. Cam and I have been in this LG for 5 years. I have been to many showers and taken many meals to families with new babies so it was so surreal for it to finally be a shower for me. This amazing group of women prayed for this child with Cam and I for a year, my growth group girls especially! I know they will be such a great support system whenever I need mommy wisdom. And as you will see, my little Annistyn will have some friends to grow up with, as there are 10 pregnant ladies in our LG and many other little ones already!! I love being able to "do life" with these families! We are so blessed!

Beautiful flowers and decorations from the best hostesses, Kristen and Lindy!!

My favorite finger foods: pizza rolls, veggies, pinwheels, sandwiches, and sweey yummies!

I spent my morning throwing up from another bladder infection, but the Tylenol was working and I was feeling better. I actually held my food down...and it was great. The punch was delicious. I could make myself sick from punch because I can't stop drinking it!

Me and my mom!

The hostesses and my sweet friends, Kristen and Lindy!

Thank you so much to LeighAnn for opening up her home for the shower!

And thank you to Amber for this beautiful and delicious cake!

Eight of ten preggos from our Life Group in due date order from left to right.

Thank you for making my first shower so special and memorable. I am beyond blessed!

Belly Pics: Week 14-Week 26

Here are belly pics from week 14. We actually started them at week 13 but I was wearing some capris and a tank top. Cam really wanted me to find something I could wear the whole pregnancy so we could really see the changes from week to week. We take my picture every Sunday right before we leave for church.

Week 14

Week 16

Week 18

Week 20

Week 22-We didn't get our picture on Sunday so this was after a Monday morning workout....not looking cute!!

Week 24

Week 26

Everyone says I am so tiny looking...but I sure don't feel it. I am tired and achy everyday after work....and starting to get out of breath a lot. Cam has to help me tie my shoes. I keep my work out shoes tied so I can just slide into them though! But I absolutely LOVE being pregnant and the best part is feeling my sweet baby girl kicking and moving!!

Gender Reveal Party

We had our sonogram on Tuesday, August 30th. We had the sonographer put the sonogram in a sealed envelope. Sunday we gave the baker (my grandma) the envelope. So, yes, we had the envelope tempting us all week but we did not give in and open it! Monday we got the house decorated in BUMBLEBEES for our gender reveal party, "Baby Le, What will you BEE?" Lots of family and friends came over to share in our excitement. I will let the pictures tell the story!

Catch Up....

Ok, so I have been a horrible blogger! It seems one of my last posts I was itching mad with hives and fever and now I am sitting at home on "bed rest". I started feeling bad Friday at school but took some Tylenol and managed to make it through the day. I napped for several hours when I got home and still didn't feel well. Cam and I made it to dinner but I came home and went to bed early. I woke up in the middle of the night throwing up. That morning my temp was over 103 and I couldn't hold my meds down. We put a call into my OB and told me to get to the ER. At the ER they did a urine test for a bladder infection and a flu test. I think it took us around 3 hours to get back that they thought it was a bladder infection. It also took that whole 3 hours to get my fever back down to 98.7. I was released with some a prescription for antibiotics. Monday I went to the doc and he put me on bed rest while he ran his own tests to compare with the ER tests. I am still waiting to hear the results. I go back to the doctor tomorrow. It has been a long few days of feeling super crummy. But I do feel so blessed by all the of the family and friends we have calling and texting to check on me while Cam is in Detroit for work.

HOW WE TOLD OUR PARENTS:

The day I found out and after I told Cam, it took quite a while to process it....like 20 minutes. Then we decided we were ready to tell our family right away. We didn't have too much of a plan other than to get some I love grandpa/grandma bibs. I called mom and she was at Pei Wei so I knew I couldn't tell her there. We called Dad and Frances and told them we had a gift for their new dog, which Cam had not met and asked if we could bring dinner over. We got Chick-fil-A and headed over there with the bibs. They still didn't think it was suspicious when Cam walked in with a video camera...we told them to open their present. They opened the gifts, looked at the bibs, and really thought they were for the dog. I looked at Cam and said, "They aren't getting it." so I showed them the test that said "Pregnant". Then it was ALL screams and excitement!!! After dinner we headed to my moms...

I didn't want mom to think I was being suspicious either so I told her I was delivering her 31 order. I thought it was a purse for her since the monogram said "LJH" but it was for my grandma who has the same initials...so she couldn't figure out why I was being so persistent. I told her when I handed her the bag to check out the beautiful inside (Cam starts filming). She pulled out the bib and just thought it was something I was giving to grandma until she sees the pregnancy test....then there were more screams and excitement.

We decided to go see grandma that night. We were going to suprise her at her nightly hangout: BINGO but she wasn't there....so we went to her house and told both of my grandparents.

We decided to call everyone on my mom's side because God love them, my mom and grandma can't keep secrets!!! My dad decided he could keep a secret until the Memorial Day party at this house where I wore this shirt to tell everyone.
